Bilayer Self-assembly
Bilayer Self-Assembly is a self-organized process in which amphiphilic molecules spontaneously arrange into a two-layered supramolecular structure driven by hydrophobic interactions, with the hydrophobic tails sequestered inward and the hydrophilic heads exposed to aqueous environments, forming a stable, sheet-like aggregate distinct from other self-assembled morphologies such as micelles or vesicles.
