Biblical Hebrew Modality

Biblical Hebrew Modality is a linguistic framework that systematically categorizes and analyzes the expression of modality—such as necessity, possibility, obligation, and permission—within the grammatical and lexical structures of Biblical Hebrew, distinguishing it from other modal systems by its reliance on verbal aspects, syntactic constructions, and semantic domains specific to the ancient Northwest Semitic context.
