Bedrock Quarrying

Bedrock Quarrying is a subglacial erosional process involving the detachment and removal of intact blocks of bedrock from the underlying substrate by glacier movement, distinguished from other glacial erosion mechanisms by its reliance on mechanical stresses generated at the ice-bed interface to induce fracturing and plucking of coherent rock fragments.
