Beam-plasma Instability

Beam-Plasma Instability is a kinetic instability in collisionless plasma systems arising when an electron or ion beam propagates through a background plasma, leading to exponential growth of electrostatic waves due to resonant energy transfer from the beam particles to plasma oscillations via wave-particle interactions.
