Beam-column Interaction
Beam–Column Interaction is a structural mechanics phenomenon in steel structures that describes the coupled behavior of flexural and axial forces in a member subjected simultaneously to bending and compression, where the interaction between bending moments and axial load influences the member's strength and stability beyond what is predicted by separate beam or column analyses.
