Baumol-tobin Model

The Baumol-Tobin Model is an economic model of transaction demand for money that specifies the optimal number of trips an individual makes to convert interest-bearing assets into cash to minimize the total cost of holding money, balancing the trade-off between interest income foregone and the fixed cost of each trip.
