Bases Exchange
Bases Exchange is a fundamental property in matroid theory stating that for any two distinct bases \( B_1 \) and \( B_2 \) of a matroid, and for every element \( x \in B_1 \setminus B_2 \), there exists an element \( y \in B_2 \setminus B_1 \) such that \( (B_1 \setminus \{x\}) \cup \{y\} \) is also a base.
