Base Shear Design

Base Shear Design is a structural design methodology in seismic engineering that determines the total lateral seismic force at the base of a reinforced concrete structure by combining site-specific ground motion parameters with the building’s dynamic characteristics to ensure adequate resistance to earthquake-induced demands.
