Autocorrelation Function Analysis
Autocorrelation Function Analysis is a statistical method used in X-Ray Timing that quantifies the temporal coherence of a signal by measuring the correlation of the signal with itself as a function of time lag, thereby revealing periodicities, quasi-periodic oscillations, or characteristic variability timescales in astrophysical X-ray sources.
