Asymmetric Key Encryption is a cryptographic method that belongs to the class of encryption techniques in which the encryption and decryption processes rely on a pair of mathematically related keys—a public key for encryption and a private key for decryption—distinguishing it from symmetric key encryption by using distinct, non-identical keys for the two operations.
