Arc-continent Collision

Arc–Continent Collision is a tectonic convergence process, belonging to the class of plate boundary interactions, wherein an intra-oceanic island arc collides with a continental margin, distinguished from other orogenic processes by the accretion of juvenile arc crust onto a passive or active continental margin following the closure of an intervening oceanic basin.
