Arc Jet Testing

Arc Jet Testing is an experimental evaluation method that simulates extreme aerothermal environments by exposing thermal protection materials to high-enthalpy, high-velocity plasma streams generated in an electric arc-heated wind tunnel, enabling the assessment of ablative and thermal response characteristics under conditions representative of atmospheric re-entry.
