Aqueous Two-Phase Extraction is a separation technique in which two immiscible aqueous phases, formed by the partitioning of water-soluble polymers or polymer and salt systems, selectively distribute biomolecules based on differences in solubility, charge, and molecular weight to enable the recovery and purification of target metabolites.
