Anoxic Sedimentation
Anoxic Sedimentation is a geological process denoting the deposition and accumulation of sediments under oxygen-depleted (anoxic) aquatic conditions, distinguished from other sedimentation processes by the absence of dissolved oxygen that inhibits organic matter degradation and promotes preservation of organic-rich facies in lacustrine and marine basins.
