Anomalous Zeeman Effect

Anomalous Zeeman Effect is a quantum mechanical phenomenon in atomic spectroscopy wherein the spectral lines of an atom split into an asymmetric and complex pattern under the influence of an external magnetic field due to the electron's spin contributing to the total magnetic moment, distinguishing it from the simpler triplet splitting pattern observed in the normal Zeeman effect.
