Anisotropic Kernel Estimation
Anisotropic Kernel Estimation is a kernel density estimation method in which the smoothing kernel employs a multidimensional bandwidth matrix that varies across data points to account for direction-dependent (anisotropic) density variations, thereby distinguishing it from isotropic approaches that use uniform, direction-invariant bandwidths.
