Ancus Marcius
Ancus Marcius is a semi-legendary fourth king of Rome, belonging to the traditional regal period, distinguished from his predecessors by his dual heritage as both a Sabine and a Roman and by his role in expanding Rome’s territorial and religious institutions through the founding of Ostia and the consecration of the Aventine Hill.
