Algal Cell Development

Algal Cell Development is a biological process that encompasses the sequence of structural, physiological, and molecular changes through which an algal cell progresses from its initial formation to its mature, functional state, distinguishing it from general cellular growth by its specificity to the ontogeny and differentiation of cells within photosynthetic, predominantly aquatic, eukaryotic microorganisms of the kingdom Protista or Plantae.
