Airborne LiDAR is a remote sensing technology that employs laser pulses emitted from an aircraft-mounted sensor to measure distances and generate high-resolution three-dimensional representations of the Earth's surface, distinguished from ground-based or spaceborne LiDAR by its platform elevation and spatial coverage characteristics.
