Age Systems

Age Systems is a sociocultural framework in ethnology that classifies and regulates social roles, responsibilities, and political authority according to individuals' membership in sequentially organized age-based groups, distinguishing it from other forms of social stratification by its reliance on cohort-based temporal progression as the primary determinant of status and power.
