Aeolian Erosion is a geomorphic process belonging to the class of erosional mechanisms wherein the detachment and entrainment of surface sediments are driven exclusively by wind action, distinguished from other forms of erosion by its reliance on aeolian aerodynamic forces and saltation dynamics in arid and semi-arid environments.
