Adiabatic Heating Effects

Adiabatic Heating Effects is a thermomechanical phenomenon in which rapid plastic deformation under high strain rates leads to localized temperature increases in a material due to the conversion of mechanical work into heat with insufficient time for thermal dissipation, distinguishing it from isothermal or slowly evolving thermal responses in deformation processes.
