Adhesion-dependent Polarity
Adhesion-Dependent Polarity is a biological phenomenon in which the spatial asymmetry of cellular components and functions is established and maintained through specific integrin-mediated attachments between cells and the extracellular matrix, thereby distinguishing it from polarity mechanisms driven by cell-cell interactions or intrinsic cytoplasmic cues.
