Adaptive Reworking

Adaptive Reworking is a narrative transformation process in folkloristics whereby traditional tales are systematically modified through selective alteration, relocation, or recontextualization of plot elements, character roles, or thematic motifs to align with evolving cultural, social, or ideological environments while preserving core structural or functional features of the original tale.
