Activity-Temperature Coupling is a physiological construct that denotes the intrinsic temporal relationship in which the circadian rhythm of physical activity synchronizes with and modulates the rhythmic fluctuations of core body temperature, thereby reflecting the coordinated regulation of locomotor behavior and thermoregulatory processes within the circadian system.
