Activity Pacing
Activity Pacing is a behavioural self-management strategy in cardiopulmonary, functional restoration, and pain rehabilitation in which patients systematically regulate the intensity, duration, and timing of activity and rest in a planned and flexible manner according to symptoms and functional goals, with the aim of achieving consistent engagement in meaningful activities while minimizing symptom exacerbations and avoiding overactivity–underactivity (“boom–bust”) patterns.
