Abyssal Plain Sediments

**Abyssal Plain Sediments** is a deep-marine sedimentary facies consisting predominantly of fine-grained pelagic and hemipelagic particles, commonly interlayered with turbidites and other gravity-flow deposits, that accumulates on the flat, distal regions of ocean basins at abyssal depths and blankets the irregular topography of the underlying oceanic crust.
