First Results of Treatment of Leprosy with Rifadin

Abstract

The authors present the first published results obtained with Rifadin (rifampicin) in the treatment of 7 patients with lepromatous leprosy. The drug had a marked effect on the infecting b ci1li. They conclude that Rifudin is an effective anti-leprotic drug which merits further and more extensive trials.
