A case of multiple myeloma of the IgA monoclonal gammopathy type in a 13-year-old Caucasian girl is reported. Unusual features of this case are the young age of the patient, initial clinical manifestation of tumor nodules in the breasts and subcutaneous tissue, extensive extramedullary involvement, particularly of the ovaries, and biologically false-positive heterophil reactions in high titers.
