Abstract

IN several recent publications [e.g. Ascher, 1925; Burn and Marks, 1926] considerable support has been given to the view that the liver normally, to some extent, converts fat into reducing sugar, and that this process becomes increasingly important when the animal is deprived of its glycogen supplies.
