Chloride Profiles in Salty Concrete

Abstract

Abstract The role of chloride sampling in condition surveys is examined; several case histories are presented. Plots of chloride concentration vs depth, with anomalies near the surface, are discussed. A method for estimating the effective diffusion coefficient is given. A preliminary result shows the effect of cathodic protection by impressed current on chloride migration.
