A. C. Germann, D.P.A., is Professor of Criminology, California State College at Long Beach, Long Beach, California. In 1957 Dr. Germann left the faculty of the School of Police Administration, Michigan State University, to set up the Department of Police Science at Long Beach State College. Dr. Germann received his doctorate in Public Administration from the University of Southern California and served as a sworn officer with the Los Angeles Police Department before joining the Michigan State University faculty. He is the author of POLICE PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT and POLICE EXECUTIVE DEVELOPMENT and co-author of the INTRODUCTION TO LAW ENFORCEMENT.-EDITOR.
