The heritage of geological history is a legacy bestowed upon us by Nature. It is mankind's obligation to protect it, so that it can be a benefit to posterity for ever. The best way to ensure geoheritage conservation is by the construction of Geoparks to aid geoscientific research and serve as sites of propagation of scientific knowledge. Geoparks attract visitors, and at the same time create local jobs and develop the local economy. In addition, they are means by which the local government can enforce environmental protection based on more enthusiastic support from the local people with the development of their economy.
