On the polynomial first integrals of the (<i>a</i>,<i>b</i>,<i>c</i>) Lotka–Volterra system

Abstract

Using elementary differential algebraic techniques, we prove that the 3D Lotka–Volterra dynamical system has no other nontrivial polynomial first integrals than the previously known ones.
