The literature on work with insecticidal termite baitwood is reviewed. It includes trials of treatment effectiveness under various field conditions and in conjunction with residential structures. The relation of bait treat ment to preconstruction, construction, and post-construction stages of a building is discussed. Termite foraging behavior, behavioral factors in decayed wood, and antitermitic agents in baits are also discussed.
