Catalogue of the type specimens of Diptera deposited in the Department of Entomology, National Museum, Prague, Czech Republic. Moth flies (Psychodidae)

Abstract

Type specimens of moth flies (Diptera: Psychodidae) deposited in the Department of Entomology, National Museum, Prague are catalogued. We provide detailed information about the type material of 99 taxa (94 species from subfamily Psychodinae, three species from subfamily Sycoracinae and two species from subfamily Trichomyiinae), including holotypes of 88 species and one neotype. All holotypes and other selected type specimens are photographed. Digital photographs are stored in Morphbank, available online. A hyperlink is provided for every taxon listed when using a digital copy (pdf format) of this catalogue. The year of publication of Copropsychoda bulbosa Ježek & Harten, 2006; Falsologima verrucosa Ježek & Harten, 2006; Psychana rujumensis Ježek & Harten, 2006 and Psychoda obscuripennis Ježek & Harten, 2006 is corrected.
