Abstract

This part illustrates those Queensland Cambrian fossils which are either of stratigraphic significance, or are illustrative of the occurrence of a particular group in Cambrian sediments of this State. The explanatory matter for each illustration notes features suitable for their recognition, and gives the ranges, first of the genus (if this exceeds the Cambrian), and then of the species as it is known for Queensland, together with geographic and stratigraphic details.Stratigraphic terminology and suggested correlations of Queensland Cambrian sediments — as found exclusively in the western part of the State — are tabulated on page cm. 32. The biostratigraphic zones are based upon the profusely preserved trilobite faunas, illustrated herein IV — Cm. XIII.
