Abstract

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) measures the relative efficiency of decision making units (DMUs) with multiple inputs and multiple outputs. DEA-based Malmquist productivity index measures the pro-ductivity change over time. In this paper, unlike the original DEA models,it has been assumed that the levels of inputs and outputs are not known exactly. The true data be only known as in forms of bounded or fuzzy data. Hence, we provide a computational method for extension to the DEA-based Malmquist productivity index for all DMUs with in-terval and fuzzy data. A numerical examples for illustration purpose are presented.
