In this paper a first study of gestures timing in Euro-pean Portuguese nasals is presented. Velum, lips and tongue tip gestures were automatically annotated in an existent EMMA corpus. Analyses concentrated on the characterization of the different gesture land-marks in terms of average duration values, investiga-tion of factors influencing such durations, and char-acterization of inter-gestural coordination.
