Cratering on the outer three Galilean satellites has been studied from Galileo prime mission images. The data are at a variety of spatial scales and do not survey the smaller scales at more than a select number of locations. Nevertheless, it is possible to address some of the broad questions concerning the nature of the cratering and of the exogenic and endogenic processes that erase craters and yield the observable crater populations.
