Top Ten Needs for Intelligence Analysis Tool Development

Abstract

A workshop was held to generate ideas about future enhancements to software systems de-signed to aid intelligence analysts in the analy-sis process. Workshop participants were work-ing analysts, working members of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Field Intelli-gence Element. An analyst from the Counter-Intelligence Program also participated in the workshop. This paper summarizes the results of the workshop and discusses implications for intelligence analysis software tool develop-ment.
