The EUNET project develops and demonstrates a method for modeling and assessing the socio-economic impacts of strategic transport initiatives. There are three main areas of work. First, the development of a Regional Economic/Transport model, with a research emphasis on extending the Input-Output framework. Second, recommendations on costs, prices and values to feed into the assessment prices. Third, production of an assessment tool, which can be linked to the regional economic/transport model. Three demonstration examples are used to validate the approach.
