NEW MIG PROCESS RESULTS FROM METAL TRANSFER MODE CONTROL

Abstract

The Authors discuss Metal-Inert-Gas welding and report on a new development called controlled drop spray MIG. Welding trials, which are described in this article,indicate that this new process is spatter free has minimum fume formation rate and satisfies positional characteristics at a working current range from 60 to 300A.
