This research focuses on the driver drowsiness and the detection of drivers' blinks by using facial images obtained by a CCD camera. The paper describes the method used to obtain facial images and the method for extracting eye blinks and measuring blink duration. The authors also describe a method for predicting arousal levels that reflect individual characteristics regarding drowsiness.
