In patients with peripheral arterial occlusive disease, MS-CTA of the lower extremity is a promising minimal-invasive method for detection of relevant arterial stenoses. However, the technique was limited to routine diagnostic purposes due to severe calcifications and time consuming reconstruction procedures.
