Scientific and Standard English Names of Amphibians and Reptiles of North America North of Mexico: Update

Abstract

This publication serves as an update for the most recent list of scientific and standard English names of North American amphibians and reptiles north of Mexico (Crother et al. 2000. SSAR Herpetol. Circ. 29). The list below should to be used in conjunction with the previous work (op. cit.). This update includes new taxa described since the previous publication and any taxonomic changes that have led to name changes, both English and scientific. A number of changes herein concern date of publication of the original species description.
