The dehydrogenation of cyclohexane in a porous Vycor-glass tube was simulated. The conversion can be increased beyond the equilibrium value by selectively separating the products of reaction in the reactor. The optimum tube thickness for the maximum conversion depends on the relative rates of permeation and reaction.
