Abstract

THE purpose of this paper is to describe the glass electrode as a means of measuring hydrogen ion activity. By it a PlI determination can be made on 0 5 cc. or less of liquid, whether clear, coloured or turbid, easily reducible, or unstable in air, with an accuracy of 0-02 PH, the experiment taking less than 5 minutes, and the sample being returnable chemically unchanged at the end.
