Abstract

Engineered gradient hybrid SEI with nanocrystalline crack-pinning domains prevents fracture propagation in micro-Si anodes, enabling 1-Ah cells to retain >80% capacity over −20 to 70 °C and resolving Si's fundamental stability-conductivity trade-off.
