Abstract

Abstract In complex and diverse visual environments, machine vision faces higher demands for recognition capabilities, requiring more precise multimodal detection to obtain effective scene image data. However, current single device is still limited to broadband detection without spectral selectivity or simple spectral switching and has yet to achieve multi‐modal spectral detection. In this study, a back‐to‐back organic photodiode is presented based on a unique barrier effect and design a novel multi‐modal spectrum‐adaptive photodetector. Derived from the barrier blocking and lowering effect caused by voltage or illumination, this device enables independent detection of visible (VIS) spectra and narrowband near‐infrared (NIR) spectra, as well as fusion detection of VIS and NIR light and environment‐adaptive spectral amplification detection. By achieving multimodal detection within a single pixel, the device effectively simplifies structural complexity. The multimodal spectral detector not only advances the development of electrically tunable bipolar research in dual‐terminal devices but also offers an innovative solution to enhance the recognition accuracy of machine vision in complex and dynamic environments.
